The Ontario Immigration Nominee Programme (OINP) is now accepting applications from students who have completed at least two years of studies in the Province and have a job offer from an eligible Ontario employer, that meets certain requirements.
The International student should have completed a degree or diploma from an eligible institution in Canada, that takes at least two years to complete, if studies were done on a full-time basis OR, they completed a one-year degree/diploma/certificate that required the completion of a degree as a pre-requisite for said programme.
The Foreign Worker should have a full-time indeterminate job offer in a Job title that falls under NOC O, A or B of the NOC listing and meets the low wage level requirements in Ontario. Please note that seasonal, part-time, contract or agency positions do not qualify under this stream.
The Ontario employer must meet the following requirements:
- Their business must have been active for at least the past three years
- Have a business premises in Ontario where the applicant will be working
- Be in compliance with the Ontario
- Employment Standards Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
If you are working in the Greater Toronto Area, the employer must have a minimum of $1,000,000 in gross annual revenue for the most recent fiscal year and have five full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, at the location where you will be working
If you will be working outside of the GTA, the employer must have a minimum of $500,000 in gross annual revenue for the most recent financial year and have three full-time employees who are Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents, at the location where you will be working.
