Guyana Day 2017
It’s now just less than a month to go before this year’s grand Guyana Day celebration in Ottawa to mark Canada’s 150 Anniversary of Confederation. The May 21 Guyana Day 2017 in Ottawa is also intended to showcase Guyana’s culture and diversity in celebration of Guyana’s 51st Independence Anniversary.
Last Lap Lime Annual Launch Party
In further celebration of Canada’s 150 the Organizing Committee of Toronto’s Last Lap Lime will be hosting its Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event on May 28 at Scarborough’s Tropical Nights Restaurant (1154 Morningside Ave) from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. The Annual Launch Party has been billed by the Last Lap Lime Organizing Committee as an opportunity for to thank those who have volunteered their services tirelessly within previous years and also to welcome new volunteers for the 2017 year. The Committee also uses the event to thanks its sponsors, both existing and new.
St Joseph’s High Alumni Annual Spring Dance
Finally, Saturday June 10th will be the date for this year’s St Joseph’s High School Toronto Alumni Association’s Spring Dance. Pickering’s West Rouge Community Centre (270 Rouge Hill Drive) will be the venue for this $25/per person admission, Cash Bar, treat which will feature the groovy life band sounds of Fuh Fun as well as tracks from Deejay TeeCee. The fun starts sharply at 7:00 pm and goes until 1:00 am.
